The third film in the Enola Holmes series has been completed, as seen by a number of images that surfaced this morning. Production has officially concluded, and the film will now enter a lengthy post-production phase before its ultimate Netflix release.
The third entry was mostly filmed in the United Kingdom, particularly at Shepperton Studios, but it also traveled outside, this time to the stunning island of Malta. On April 10, 2025, filming formally began, and it ended this morning, June 27, 2025.
As you may have read, there were some bumps in the road during the third film’s production. A report from The Sun claims that a stomach illness and “a bit of dodgy catering” caused food poisoning in several of the cast and crew, resulting in a brief production halt.
Overnight, many members of the cast and crew celebrated the new film’s closing, including director Philip Barantini, who posted an Instagram reel announcing the conclusion of filming.
When Millie Bobby Brown shared a few pictures from the shoot, they received over a million likes almost immediately. “Case closed” is the caption for the pictures.
Aside from the main cast, which consists of Millie Bobby Brown, Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter, Himesh Patel, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Louis Partridge, not many fresh names have been added. We do have a few more names to add to the list, though. Young actor Eirwen Phoenix has been cast in an unidentified part, while Joe Azzopardi has been cast as Mikiel Mizzi.
As stated at the beginning of this post, Netflix has not yet announced the official release date for Enola Holmes 3, although it may find it difficult to fit it in this year considering how crowded their Fall 2025 movie schedule is already. Enola Holmes 3 is a strong contender for Netflix’s early Spring 2026 schedule, if we were to estimate. But keep an eye on this space.
